Holden Garcia Releases Debut Album Tainted Tapes

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (February 28, 2026) — Holden Garcia, a 12-year-old indie rock and Americana artist from Plainfield, Illinois, has released his debut album, Tainted Tapes, featuring 14 original songs he wrote and performed entirely.

Rather than working with a backing band, Holden performs every musical part on the album himself, including multiple vocal parts, guitars, drums, keyboards, and other instruments. The project brings together his interests in songwriting, playing multiple instruments, and recording music.

Drawing on indie rock, Americana, and alternative music, Tainted Tapes blends acoustic-driven arrangements with layers of instrumental and vocal parts. Each song reflects Holden's experimentation with different sounds as he develops his own musical style.

The album marks a milestone in Holden's musical development, bringing together his original songs in his first full-length release.

Holden began performing publicly at age eight and has continued developing his music through live performances, songwriting, and recording. With Tainted Tapes, he shares a collection of songs that represent his work across these areas.

Tainted Tapes was released February 28, 2026, and is available on major streaming platforms.
